WHERE: Lobaye and Sangha-M’Baéré Prefectures (including two Protected Areas: Mbaéré-Bodengué)
BENEFICIARIES: approximately 45,000 inhabitants of these prefectures
BACKGROUND: post-crisis socio-economic reality in the CAR
OBJECTIVE: to create conditions conducive to the sustainable management of natural resources and the socio-economic reconstruction of local and indigenous communities
COURSE: identification of people participating in the project, establishing a network of 5 civic communities, 27 rural committees and 2 platforms: participatory and representative, sensitizing local and indigenous communities to the need to protect fauna and flora, identification of technical and material needs (distribution of seeds and tools and promoting agricultural activities that generate income and training in cultivation, beekeeping, breeding, fishing, etc.)
